Currently Vizito supports the usage of Belgian eID cards for signing in and out on iPads.

The following supported default fields are supported for capture from the eID card:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Address
  • Zip code
  • City
  • Photo

Supported hardware can be purchased directly.

In order to integrate AeroHive with Vizito you will need the following things:

  • Vizito account
  • AeroHive developer account
  • Access to your AeroHive Manager NG platform. If you are using an older platform, please contact your reseller to upgrade.

Before starting, you must request a AeroHive developer account. You can do this by navigating here and filling in the form:

Once you have a developer account, log in to the developer website and create a new application in order to get your Client secret and Client ID:

On the dashboard, click on Create new application:

Fill in a name and description for the application.

Click on the API Developer Application name that you just created:

Set the Redirect URL to Copy or note down the Client ID and Client Secret and click on Submit:

Next you need to login to the AeroHive Manager NG platform. Go to https://cloud.aerohive.com and log in with your credentials (these are not the same as the developer credentials):

Now you will see the dashboard. Go to your profile and click on Global Settings:

Select API Token Management:

Add a new API Access Token by clicking on the + icon:

Enter the Client ID that you noted down earlier when creating the Application on the developer portal:

You will get a message displaying a new token. Copy this token:

Next add a new group for Vizito by going to the menu Configure > Users > User Groups:

Click on Add and enter the details of this group:

Here you will be able to specify things like the length and complexity of the key, as well as define what visitors have access to and what not:

Next we need to get the Group ID from Aerohive. Using Google Chrome, go back to the overview of the User Groups and right click on the name of the User Group. Select Inspect. You will see a div with role="row". Copy the ID of the expanded div with role="row". It looks like this:


The part behind the "-" is your User Group ID. In this example this is : 11262XXXXXXXXXXX .


Now fill in the integration details on the https://backoffice.vizito.be website:


Client Secret and Client ID is the information that you got from the developer website.

Auth Key is the API token that was generated on the AeroHive Manager NG platform.

Group ID is the User Group ID that you created.

Owner ID can be found in the AeroHive Manager NG platform when you click on your profile and then click on About HiveManager. Copy the value for VHM Id.

Click on Save. 

Tip: once integration is complete, you can use the %aerohive_username% and %aerohive_password% in your badge template or welcome message.

Setting up Slack integration with Vizito is very easy. This way you can notify your Host using Slack instant messaging.
Head over to the https://backoffice.vizito.be website > "Account settings" > "Integration"

Just press the "Add to Slack" button and authorize Vizito to send messages.

Note that the email addresses of your Hosts need to map the email addresses used in the Slack accounts.

Microsoft Teams Integration

Microsoft Teams is the collaboration tool for your team that is part of Microsoft Office 365 and that integrates all your colleagues, documents, processes and other tools in one convenient place so that your team can be more efficient. The Vizito integration for teams brings even more efficiency to your team by sending out automatic notification to your colleagues when a visitors signs in for them at the reception.

The installation of the integration is really easy and consist out of 2 easy-to-follow steps.

Before starting, please make sure that you are an administrator in Office 365. If not, please forward this guide to one of your IT administrators so that they can connect Vizito with your Office 365 organisation.

Step 1: connect Vizito to your Office 365 organisation

Go to https://backoffice.vizito.be/#/integrations and click on the Add to MS Teams button.

You will be redirected to Office 365 and asked to either sign in or to allow access to the Vizito integration.

If everything goes according to plan, you will see a popup in Vizito that mentions that the integration is pending.

Now you will have to install the bot in Microsoft Teams.

Step 2: install the Vizito bot into Microsoft Teams

Either install the Microsoft Teams Vizito app

2.1 Microsoft Teams Apps store

Find the Vizito app under "Apps":

2.2 Manual installation

Download our bot package from https://vizito.be/vizito_teams_bot.zip . 

Open Microsoft Teams and click on Apps in the left bottom corner:


Upload the file you just downloaded, you should see the following screen:


Step 3: Configure the Vizito app

Click on our App and you get prompted to add the Vizito bot to you Teams, confirm this:


Now select the team in which you want to install the bot:


Once completed, you will see the following message:


Now your colleagues will receive notifications via Microsoft Teams when a visitor arrives for them. You can try it out by selecting yourself as a host for a test visit. Feel free to contact us at info@vizito.be to remove any test data.

Please make sure that the email addresses registered in the Manage hosts section do match the email addresses that are known in Microsoft Teams, as this will be the link between the Vizito hosts and your Teams colleagues.
